Do I need to pay a placement fee?

No. HealthX is a direct employer. We do not charge placement fees or deduct commissions from your salary.

What qualifications do I need to work with HealthX?

You must have at least two years of recent experience as a registered nurse, doctor, midwife, psychiatrist, or aged care professional in a healthcare setting similar to Australia. This includes countries like New Zealand, the UK, Ireland, Canada, Singapore, the USA, and Hong Kong. If you have worked in a hospital accredited by JCI, ACI, or ACHS in the Philippines, UAE, Qatar, Oman, or Saudi Arabia, you may also be eligible.

Do I need AHPRA registration before applying?

No. You can apply while your AHPRA registration is in progress. HealthX will assist you throughout the registration process.

What visa will I be sponsored under?

Most international candidates are sponsored on the Temporary Skill Shortage (TSS) visa (subclass 482) under the Labour Agreement Stream. This visa allows you to work in Australia for up to two years.

Can I bring my family with me?

Yes. The TSS visa allows your spouse or de facto partner and dependent children up to 23 years of age to live and work or study in Australia.

Is there a pathway to permanent residency?

Yes. After 12 months of employment and a successful performance review, you may be eligible to transition to the Employer Nomination Scheme (ENS) visa (subclass 186), which provides permanent residency.

What types of contracts are available?

HealthX offers both long-term and short-term contracts. Long-term contracts are typically two years and may lead to permanent residency. Short-term contracts range from 4 weeks to 12 months and are ideal for those seeking flexibility.

Do I need to be able to drive?

For most roles, having a driver's licence is advantageous but not essential. However, some placements may require a current unrestricted driver's licence valid in Australia.

What relocation support does HealthX provide?

HealthX assists with travel arrangements, short-term accommodation, and guidance on setting up essential services like banking and healthcare. We also offer local orientation and support for your family members.

Will someone meet me upon arrival?

Yes. Our relocation team will meet you at the airport, take you to your accommodation, and help you settle into your new community.

Can HealthX help my family settle in?

Absolutely. We provide information and support for your spouse and children, including assistance with schooling and community integration.

How long does AHPRA registration take?

The AHPRA registration process typically takes 3 to 6 months, depending on your individual circumstances and the completeness of your application.

What if I need to complete a bridging program?

If AHPRA requires you to complete a bridging program, HealthX will guide you through the process and help you enroll in an approved course.
