The PALM scheme for Aged Care

HealthX is proud to be an approved employer of the PALM (Pacific Australia Labour Mobility) scheme, for aged care.

The PALM scheme helps to fill labour gaps in rural and regional Australia.  It enables workers from nine Pacific countries and Timor-Leste, to live and work in Australia, developing their professional skills and earning sufficient income to support themselves and their families and communities back home.

Benefits of PALM scheme through HealthX

  • 4-year contract in a HealthX partner aged care facility with other workers from the Pacific region.
  • Excellent salary, allowing you to live a comfortable life in Australia and send money back to your family.
  • Relocation support including finding a home, settling into the new job and community.
  • Ongoing support throughout your employment from the HealthX welfare team.
  • Further training for professional and personal development to ensure you return to your home country with professional opportunities after the contract period is over.

The PALM program was an amazing opportunity. The amount of money I earn in a fortnight is equivalent to 3 months of pay back home
